these are my first drawings back at college. i was really surprised how good they came out to be honest, i thought they would look really crap because i haven't drawn anything in a while. this one i did on black paper with white and black chalk, this was the second drawing i did an i didn't thing it went as well as the first one i did, i dont like the size or shape of the skull, i think it could do with not being as round, and id probably not use so much white and keep it more grey then use the white to highlight the areas that the light is mostly hitting because i dont think the light that was hitting the skeleton was as bright as that allover. overall i dont think its to bad though.
This is the first drawing i did back in college and iv got to say im pretty proud of it, again i thought it was going to be crap as i had not drawn in a white but it came out really good, again i used chalk for this drawing, i love using chalk, i just like the effects you can get with it and its easy to blend so you can get the right kind of shade, also you can keep the chalk lines nice a crisp and it can give a hole different look to your drawing, i like to do both when i use it so you have the nice blended areas and then you have crisp areas that stand out. also if you make a mistake i find you can blend it in then go over it with some white chalk (black if on black paper) and start again. the only problem i had with this drawing was the left arm as it comes out a bit, but i go there in the end as i think the drawing looks like the arm is coming a way from the body like its got its hands on the bottom of its hips. overall i think it looks good an the proportion is good so im happy. AND.. as you can see i started another one in the background but i had no time to finish it but i may go back and finish it.
these two are done in just a average HB pencil. i really enjoyed doing these two as it was more relaxing, i sat down and taken my time doing shading, i chose to do that as i dont usually do that, i would normally use alot of big expressive lines and mark making. but i like how they have came out and i will be doing more of this kind of drawing in the future.
